This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

  11. I know all the chefs like to do the crispy skin on salmon - it's a test of their skills to get it crisp, not burnt and the salmon cooked perfectly. Pat on the back for the chef, but the kids don't like it as the fish oils are strong tasting. So, we tend to poach our salmon. Once it's skinned and de-boned pour boiling water over it and leave it to cool - it will be perfectly cooked. When ready to serve warm through in the pan - but not too much otherwise it will cook further, and there's nothing worse than dry overcooked fish
