SriLanka

In 1997 we split our holiday with a week touring around Sri Lanka, then we went off to the Maldives.
We flew into Sri Lanka and spent a night in Columbo, then in the morning we met our guide Kary who looked after us for the week.
The first day we visited sights along the west coast, then in the afternoon of the second day drove to Nuwara Eliya where we stayed in St Andrews hotel. Day three was then spent in the hill country and the tea plantations. After that we went to Kandy which is considered the cultural capital of the central province, where we based ourselves and visited a number of sites around the area.
Day six took us to Sigiriya and Habarana, with our final day at Anaradkapura, before returning to Columbo and then onto the Maldives.
