This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

Ices

    Cinnamon Ice Cream

    6 large egg yolks
    115g caster sugar
    1 pint milk
    1 stick cinnamon
    1 level teaspoon ground cinnamon
    285ml double cream
2 slightly rounded teaspoons custard power

Whisk the egg yolks, sugar and custard powder until pale. Heat the milk with the cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon until simmering, then pour slowly onto the egg mixture, whisking all the time. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat whilst whisking until the custard has thickened. Layer cling film over the custard to prevent a skin forming and allow to cool.

When cold, discard the cinnamon stick, whip the cream and fold into the custard. Churn until smooth.
