This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

    Cherry and almond muffins

    
    150g golden caster sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 egg
    125g melted butter
    175ml greek yogurt
    1 tsp baking powder
    200g plain flour
    100g ground almonds
    250g pitted fresh cherries, halved
    
    

    Heat the oven to l60 deg C and line the muffin tin with proper muffin cases.

    In one bowl mix the sugar, vanilla, yogurt, egg and butter. In another bowl sift the baking powder, flour and ground almonds (use a wide-mesh sieve), add the liquid ingredients and mix quickly (don't worry if the mix is lumpy). Add the cherries and mix. Divide between the muffin cases, sprinkle a little extra sugar onto each and bake for 20 minutes or until risen and golden.
