Beetroot and Turnips

    Turnip and potato gratin

    After roasting them, what can you do with a turnip, especially when you've loads of them ?

    
    Potatoes
    Turnips
    Herbs - thyme or sage
    Double cream
    Salt and pepper.
    
    

    Slice the turnips and potatoes and layer in a dish, seasoning as you go and sprinkling some herbs within the layers. Pour over the cream and add a few knobs of butter to the top. Bake for about 45mins with tinfoil in a hot oven, then for a further 15mins with the foil removed.
