This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

General Baking

    Wholewheat shortcrust pastry

    
    115g plain wholewheat flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    pinch salt
    30g  butter
    30g lard
    1 tsp brown sugar dissolved in 1.5 tbsp water
    1 tbsp oil
    
    

    Rub the fat into the flour. Mix the oil and dissolved sugar, then sprinkle evenly over the dough and bring together. Add more water if necessary. Knead for a couple mins then rest in the fridge for 15-30mins. Bake at 200 deg C
