This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

Soup

    Chicken Noodle Soup

    This may sound dead easy, but it actually takes a long time.

    For the stock

    
    Chicken carcasses
    3-4 bay leaves 
    Small bunch thyme
    1-2 Carrots, chopped
    4-5 sticks celery
    1 onion
    2 Egg whites
    6-10 peppercorns
    Water
    
    

    First we need to make a really good stock - lots of celery, carrot, onions and herbs - typically bay and thyme. Simmer it all really really slowly with the chicken carcasses which takes a good day. The stock is sieved to remove most of the debris, simmered with egg white for 10 mins, then filtered though muslin. There's no sizing to this, just needs to be a nice strong flavour.

    For the soup

    Green beans 
    Baby sweetcorn
    Asparagus
    Peas
    Spaghetti
    
    

    Steam the veg, and chop into bite size pieces, break up the chicken and cook the spaghetti - simply add it all to the stock.

    Heat but don't boil to serve.
