This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

Mediterranean

    Meat filled borek

    
    Filo pastry
    225g fnely minced beef or lamb
    2 tbsp olive oil
    2 shallots, finely chopped
    2 tbsp raisins
    2 tbsp ground almonds
    2 tbsp chopped parsley
    Half tsp cinnamon
    Quarter tsp ground allspice
    Seasoning
    1 egg, beaten
    
    

    Fry the shallots, then add the beef of lamb and cook slowly for about l0 mins until browned. Stir in the remaining ingredients except the beaten egg and allow to cool. Taste and correct the seasoning before binding with the egg. To make the borek, take a strip of filo and brush with melted butter, then place some of the mixture at one end and fold into triangles. If these are to be frozen, brush all over with butter to stop them breaking up.
