This is our simple website - running on a beaglebone black, it hosts our favourite recipes and cakes, and things that interest us. There's an area for the kids for when they start to learn computing at school, and a personal blog for us all

Mediterranean

    Spiced lamb and apricots

    
    2 tbsp cooking oil
    2 cloves garlic
    1 heaped tsp cinamon
    1 tsp ginger
    1 large onion
    55g dried apricots
    1 tsp paprika
    30g split almonds
    
    

    Fry the ginger, cinamon, garlic and onion until the onion is soft. Add the meat, apricots, almonds and 500ml of water, then slow cook until the meat is tender.

    For the rice

    
    2 medium onions
    170g long grain rice, washed
    1 tbsp cooking oil
    30g butter
    Half tsp tumeric
    1 tsp mixed spice
    170ml water
    
    

    Fry the onions, tumeric, mixed spice in oil and butter, stir in the washed rice and add the water. Simmer for 8-10 mins.
