We so misjudged staying in Nelson. Our thoughts went along the lines that; as it was xmas if we stay in a hostel, there will be a party atmosphere, with lots of people. There was a BBQ put on which we turned up to with our bottle of NZ wine, to find there was no corkscrew, mainly because those staying at the hostel couldn't afford wine, nor the BBQ. The BBQ comprised sausages stuffed with cheese and that was it, the atmosphere was dead....
We made a hasty exit back to our room, for a picnic and the nice bottle of wine.
